The prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) refused to worship the king of Babylon, Namrud. Namrud’s followers suggested that it should be thrown into the fire. So the arrangements were made by cutting down all the trees in the forest and burning them for days. The fire became so hot that no bird would dare to enter the area for fear of being burned alive. Then a crane was built and the prophet Ibrahim was lowered into the fire through the crane. Still, the prophet Ibrahim maintained absolute faith in the Almighty. Almighty finally rewarded him. God commanded the burning fire to cool down and it did. Therefore, with faith, a man could find a way out of certain death.

TARIQ IBN ZAYED

It can be said that Prophet Ibrahim was not a mere mortal. He was the chosen one. He was the special prophet of Allah. You and I are mere mortals. How can we summon the courage and strength of the prophets? History records the history of the Muslim leader Tariq Ibn Zayed, who in 711 AD had an army of 7,000 men to fight against the superior enemy army that was in the tens of thousands. There was fear in the ranks of the Muslim army of being completely crushed by the enemy. When Tariq learned of this, he ordered his loyal men to burn the boats and, therefore, his only safe passage home.

THE HISTORICAL SPEECH

After the ships were burned and the army seemed wrecked, Tariq gathered them together by the sea. In the background were their burning boats and in front of them was the enemy Army. Tariq turned to his men and said:

“Brothers in Islam, we have the enemy in front of us and the deep sea behind us. We cannot return to our homes, because we have burned our ships. Now we will defeat the enemy and win or die like a coward. Drowning in the sea. Who will follow me?

Those words electrified the ranks of Tariq’s Army and they fought with courage, courage and faith. Tariq’s army crushed the enemy a hundred times its size and conquered Spain. They were able to survive despite the impossible odds because they burned their ships and fought for their lives.

LOCATION IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan in 2014 is facing a similar crisis. The country’s economy is growing by just 2%, while inflation is growing between 13% and 17% annually. This is resulting in an appalling divide between rich and poor. The rich have all the benefits of life and get richer by the day, while the poor lose their shelter, their security, and even the food on their plates. The current government understands people who are industrialists, feudal lords or business class. The poor are the working class, the general public, and the man on the street. No matter how qualified a poor man or woman is, there are no vacancies for them. Education, health, and the basic necessities of life are beyond the reach of the common man.

IMRAN KHAN

At this critical point in the lives of the people of Pakistan, Allah gifted them a savior in the form of Imran Khan. Imran Khan got his start in politics as a lone ranger about eighteen years ago. Khan has a stellar track record in his profession. This cricketer turned politician has to his credit:

  • Bring home a Cricket World Cup trophy;
  • Vice President of the University of Bradford;
  • Oxford University Scholarship.
  • Through his charity hospital, Shaukat Khannum deserving patients received more than $ 160 million of free treatment over an eighteen-year period.

Khan was married to one of the richest women in the world, Jemima goldsmith (currently Jemima Khan). Today she is the general editor of Vanity Fair. Khan could have lived a luxurious life with fame and fortune until his last breath.

Khan’s is the road less traveled. He took to the streets to ask for the rights of the common man. He gave everything up and locked himself in a container room to demand the rights of his people. This iconic leader that the reader’s summary called “Favorite son of Pakistan”is braving the extreme monsoon weather for the past month with a crowd of over 50,000 people.

His appeal to the people of Pakistan can be seen in this video by Umar Jamshed here:

Khan has taken an oath to his people to launch themselves into hellfire against the incumbent government. It tells them that each one makes a difference. That man can start a revolution and change the world. He tells the poor, crushed, and scared people of Pakistan that if they flee, they will be forced back to life of deprivation, but if they stand firm and fight evil, they will triumph like Tariq Ibn Zayed’s army.

Today the Pakistani people have to make this decision. Will they commit and fight or resign and run? It is this decision that will make the difference. Because in our hands is the destiny of our nation and the future of future generations.

Tomorrow you could face an impossible situation. You could be scared for your own life. But remember the Prophet Ibrahim, Tariq Ibn Zayed and Imran Khan. Truly one man can change the world. The power is yours.
