Disney, in association with Asus, has announced the launch of the mini laptop for kids aimed at children from 6 to 12 years old. With two styles, Princess Pink and Magical Blue, they are launching the Disney NetPal Asus MK90H and the MK90 are talking about a release date around August 1, 2009 with a suggested retail price of $349.99.
The Netpal was developed with kids and parents in mind and goes from box to setup in four easy steps. With 40 parental controls, it gives parents ultimate control while giving kids the safe, yet real netbook experience. Disney’s unique and intuitive visual interface allows children to have a magical and engaging experience.

The so-called Disney UI “Gadget Tray” has a creatively designed, user-friendly 2D menu with a Disney-themed browser. download them into videos and play moving dance scenes.
Also included are a driving game, memory game, numbers game, photo album, stopwatch, digital notepad, and Radio Disney that streams music while allowing kids to request a song.
Kids can personalize their desktop with over 10 customizable themes including popular Disney and Disney Pixar characters like Vintage Mickey, Toystory, Wall-e, Cars and more with Hannah Montana and Jonas geared towards the slightly older kids.
Asus Disney Netpal allows parents to create a safe web environment, including scheduling access in one day and a time limit for each program. They can also get information about how and where children spend their time in Netpal.
With the only difference being the two models, the units weigh less than 3 pounds. The Disney Netpal MK90H has been rumored to only be available on Amazon, while the MK90 will be a Toy “R” Us exclusive.
