Is it possible to generate traffic automatically?

So you’ve decided that you definitely want to drive traffic to your website and you’re ready to get the help you need to make that happen … now what?

Well, that traffic isn’t going to magically decide to come by itself, is it? You need to learn what to do and how to do it, which means that you will probably get some course or manual. This article gives you practical tips on how to block out time so you really learn what you need instead of having another course on your bookshelf gathering dust.

You will see that you can buy as many courses as you want, but until you systematize things and create a real program that you can implement yourself, you will probably never get the traffic you want for your site.

How to set a realistic schedule to learn how to generate traffic

Whenever you approach a new project, whether it’s a course you’ve invested in or just laying out a strategy to get more traffic, do it in small pieces. Take the time to set small achievable goals for yourself and structure each smaller goal in such a way that it moves you further toward a bigger goal.

Whenever you invest in a new traffic building or similar course, approach the course in this way as well. Ideally, the course will deliver the content in a temporary publishing format, that is, they will provide you with content in multiple modules and each module will be published over time.

Small blocked goals will get you to the finish line

You get the training bit by bit in small, easy-to-digest chunks, and before you know it, you’ve learned a wealth of information AND taken action on it every step of the way.

If your course is not delivered this way, make a plan for yourself in which you will tackle each module or each part of the course on a defined schedule. For example, if there are 10 modules or 10 chapters, plan to go through one module or chapter each week for ten weeks.

Take the time to set aside time in your schedule to do this. It will pay off in the long run. You may find yourself 10 weeks from now still overwhelmed by all the material, or you may have gotten over it altogether, without removing it one part at a time.

Create a defined schedule and schedule appointments with yourself to perform each task

Here’s a sample schedule from the show, Epic Traffic Systems. You can use this program as a guide to whatever program you are trying to learn.

Here’s what the training program looks like …

  • Week 1: Successful Quick Start
  • Week 2: Advanced System Training, Part 1
  • Week 3: Advanced System Training, Part 2
  • Week 4: Live Q&A
  • Week 5: Advanced PPC Strategies
  • Week 6: Advanced Hybrid Marketing
  • Week 7: Facebook Launch Secrets
  • Week 8: Advanced Twitter Strategies

If you were trying to learn all the material in this program, you would simply put a date on your calendar for each week’s work, then lock in the time by setting up an appointment with yourself to review each module.

There are so many things to learn about internet marketing and every aspect of it that this time-blocking and scheduling approach is really the only way to get over everything you need to learn. Trust me on this one: if you make a schedule and then write appointments to keep it, you will be ten times more productive than you are now!
