I finally found a way to turn my traditional marketing knowledge into digital marketing skills.

You will be surprised if you know how easy and fun it is.

I want to tell you my personal experience, it won’t take long, don’t worry.

I came from Italy two years ago, after finishing my degree in marketing.

I wanted to find more job opportunities in England, because I think that all businesses here are marketing oriented and you can’t do marketing without knowing English.

I thought that with my degree I could find a career in marketing.

Although I have done many job interviews with different companies and agencies, I did not find the right position for me.

I realize that the skills companies want now are different from the skills I learned during my career, for the reason that all companies are digitally oriented.

So I decided to find a way to learn how to go digital.

I am going to share with you how to change your knowledge from traditional to digital, all the information I give you comes from my personal experience, so it is already proven.

So let me give you a quick guide on how to turn your traditional marketing education digital.

By the time we’re done, you’ll know exactly how to start looking for real improvement in your career. Ready? Let us begin.

Step 1

Search Google for a course that allows you to learn both theoretical and practical knowledge.

With a Google search with the right keywords, you will find a large number of courses, for example, you could search for ‘digital marketing course plus practices’ or ‘digital marketing course for graduates’.

When you think you’ve found the right course for you, read some reviews to make sure you’re making the right choice, you can call their customer service to explain how the course is structured.

When you find the course that meets your needs, you can start turning your traditional skills into digital skills.

Based on my personal experience, I found the ‘Osborne training’ digital marketing course, it was exactly what I was looking for, a course organized in two sections, the live classes section and an internship in a digital marketing agency.

Step 2

When you start the course, you will understand the difference between digital marketing and traditional marketing, exploring the foundation of digital marketing and the main tools to become a digital marketer.

Based on my experience after enrollment in the course, I started the live online classes with a private tutor who guided me from the marketing foundation to search engine marketing, digital marketing tools to advertise a company and the marketing strategy to build a business.

I learned how to use tools like Google AdWords, Google AdSense, Facebook Ads, and how to create and send marketing emails.

With the knowledge of these tools, you can now boldly enter the world of digital marketing, the more you practice and the better you understand how to deal with the different scenarios you would face.

Step 3

You’re almost done!

Now that you finally understand how to use the main digital marketing tools, you’re ready to use them.

How to start?

Typically, to use these tools, you must have a business, website, or Facebook page that you want to advertise.

The easiest way to start, if you don’t have a business to promote, is to create a Facebook page and try to build awareness about it.

Facebook offers a platform, called ‘Facebook Ads Manager’, to advertise your own page, business or website, it’s easy and fun to practice.

If you choose a digital marketing course that allows you to do an internship or work experience, you could practice and receive guidance on the responsibilities.

Returning to my personal experience, after the theoretical part I have completed the Internship program, which consists of a period of 3 months of work experience consisting of carrying out the task that a digital marketer would deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Duties such as managing a blog, developing and managing digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, tracking conversion rates and making website improvements, devising strategies to drive traffic to the business website, using techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC.

After completing all these tasks, I got the skills to start looking for a job as a digital marketer!

That is the path I followed to turn my traditional marketing knowledge into digital skills.

Are you ready to start the conversion? Don’t waste any more time, find the course that suits you and start learning something useful for your career.
