RegAce is a program that promises to increase the speed of your PC by keeping the Windows registry clean. It also aims to reduce crashes and crashes resulting from invalid keys and protect you by removing keys used by malware.

The software tries to please both technophiles and technophobes alike by using a powerful and sophisticated “smart scanner” covered in a friendly and easy to use interface. I was surprised how easy it is to use. But don’t be fooled, it caught as many (and sometimes more) errors as other scanners I’ve used and the scan was fast.

A common problem with registry cleaners is that they sometimes end up removing keys that shouldn’t be removed, which can lead to failure. It never happened to me with RegAce, but the program always backs up the registry in case it happens and you need to restore it.

An interesting feature is the scheduling of scans. Nowadays, my PC always runs smoothly and I don’t have to do anything: RegAce runs in the background and periodically scans my registry and removes any errors it finds. This is not a must in the registry cleaner, but it is a nice addition.

Another nice feature that is not required but adds to the value of the package is the startup manager. This means that you can further increase the speed of your PC by limiting the programs that load at startup.

All in all, RegAce not only gets the job done, it goes above and beyond by providing tools that other packages sometimes ignore. The only negative is that it’s not free, but the price is more than fair to make sure you get a package that not only works but doesn’t install malware like most free registry cleaners I’ve tried.
