On June 11, 2007, the first of 4,800 autism cases were filed before the Special Masters of the US Federal Court of Claims, known as the “Vaccine Court.” The case of Michelle Cedillo has been chosen as the “test case” to discern whether there is a probable connection between the MMR vaccine, thimerosal and autism.

Here is a synopsis of the case: Michelle developed normally during the first year of her life. Seven days after her MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccination at 15 months, she suddenly developed a high fever that subsided and then came back. Soon after, she lost the ability to speak, became disinterested in her surroundings, developed an intense sensitivity to sounds, and was eventually diagnosed with severe autism. In addition, she developed severe diarrhea two weeks after receiving the injection, diarrhea that persists to this day. Before receiving MMR, she received vaccines that contained more than 100 ugm of thimerosal mercury. The strongest fact supporting the connection between her autism and her MMR is a biopsy of her intestinal lining that documents the vaccine strain measles virus when she had no other exposure to measles.

The battle for vaccines
History is repeating itself. Government vaccination mandates have clashed with the intuitive sense of parents since the UK’s first Compulsory Vaccination Act was passed in 1865. Vaccination against smallpox at the time was invasive, unhygienic and often disfiguring and mortal. Public vaccinators cut at least four lines in a marked pattern on the arm of an adult and then “vaccinal material,” lymph that had been collected from cows, was smeared on the wound. Eight days after the procedure, the blisters were collected and the fluid was inserted directly into your son’s arm. Many children died of secondary infections and gangrene. A very active, grassroots parent movement began to reject this vile procedure. The “anti-vaccine” label has continued to this day.(2)

Parents in 2007 are disgusting for different reasons. If parents agree to all recommended vaccinations, then by the age of 10 157 vaccine antigens will be injected into the girls’ body. Children will receive slightly less, 145, because they are not (yet) candidates for Gardisil, the new vaccine against cervical cancer. Additionally, the injections contain measurable amounts of chemicals, such as MSG, polysorbate 20 and 80, aluminum, industrial grade detergents, 2-phenoxyethanol, formaldehyde, and others. Some parents begin to wonder if their children are nothing more than a “profit center” for the pharmaceutical industry.

A medical sacred cow is, by definition, “a procedure or person unreasonably immune to criticism.” We need to stop being afraid to openly discuss the issues with this sacred cow, a vaccine. We need to stop joking when someone calls vaccines what they are: dirt on a needle. A well-researched article by Benjamin McReardon lays bare what’s really going on through those needles. (3) We need to stop disbelieving authoritative documentation about problems caused by vaccines.

For more than 200 years, we have been told that vaccines are necessary for the good of society. The use of nonviolent methods to convince a person to abandon their basic beliefs and adopt the beliefs of the indoctrinator is called brainwashing. We need to encourage adults to read the relevant information and then think for themselves. Those who have repeatedly told the pro-vaccine story have the most to gain financially from vaccines: doctors and pharmaceutical companies. We all need to realize that public health is about more than high vaccination rates and low infection rates.

Many doctors, health professionals, and psychologists are working overtime to help autistic children recover. But here’s a better idea: Why not prevent them from getting sick and hurt in the first place?

Embrace the notion that washing your hands, eating right, getting enough sleep, drinking clean water, and using simple detox processes will keep us healthy. Do some homework; investigate the pros and cons of the vaccine vs. disease risks. Most adults over the age of 40 have experienced measles and chickenpox; some had whooping cough. Was it really that bad? Parents of children with autism and ASD would gladly have stayed home for a week or two with a feverish and uncomfortable child instead of spending years trying to help them recover from autism. Would we rather have occasional outbreaks of short-lived viral infections, like mumps and the flu, or an epidemic of autism?

So what will be the ultimate cure for autism? Stop causing it. Eat well, get plenty of sleep, and educate yourself before getting vaccinated.
