Many parents find it very difficult to deal with autistic syndrome disorder. The old ways do not give satisfactory results and the frustration (of oneself and the child) is not an unusual feeling.

Kerri Stocks was also a frustrated mother, as she herself writes. On her website, she describes how her own “Game Rules” guide was written. She talks about how no one had an up-to-date, relevant solution that didn’t classify her oldest child as a “problem.” Actually, she didn’t find the problem to be on her side at all. She first changed her point of view completely by defining the target. That led her to start teaching her son about people’s feelings, what they mean, how to recognize them and how to predict the behavior of others.

She kept wondering “what is normal?”, and thus the WoTs Normal project grew, which includes the 4-book guide. The biggest innovation here is the bond that is being created between the parents. Kerri has years of academic education and consulting experience, which benefits all those who have not been in contact with her. The Books provide practical exercises, dilemmas and conversation models that aim to bring to the child’s awareness the emotional part of any type of communication.

Until now, the books are published as e-books only in an electronic version. Although accepted and approved for publication in print by Autism Asperger Publishing Company, it would be available on your shelf by 2011.
