When two wheels rotate with two centralized shafts interconnected by means of a belt, it is called a conveyor belt system. It is said so because the system as a whole is capable of transmitting energy from one unit to another unit. The wheel which is connected to a spindle in the center rotates at specific revolutions per minute and could transmit all its power and energy to the next idle shaft which is connected to the next wheel.

This is possible by connecting the two wheels with the conveyor belt. The other wheel will also start running at the same speed as the electrically driven or somehow mechanically driven wheel. With this power transmitted from the secondary wheel to its own spindle, you could run a separate drive for any other application.

It is achieved by coupling the secondary axis to the application that you want to run. Conveyor belt power transmission has numerous applications in a variety of machines. All those lathe machines in the shop, forming machines and surface grinders, milling machines, boring machines, boring machines, centerless grinders and many more production applications are simply based on this principle.
