It all depends on how long you live (and we all live longer), the Progressed Sun can change signs up to three times! Depending on which charting system you use (and they all work in their own way), the houses will be different, not the signs! When the progressed Sun changes sign, there is usually a change in your demeanor, a change in your outlook and attitude, a fresh start, a fresh start! You don’t need a computer, pencil and paper will do. You will need to know the degree of your Sun at birth and then do a simple calculation. I use the Solar Chart – Equal House System which gives 30 degrees to each sign/house. For those who use the Ascendant Chart, the principle is the same. Let me explain and the easiest way to do it is to give you an example. I was born with the Sun at 16 degrees Sagittarius.
If we consider that each sign has 30 degrees, the calculation is this: the Sun progresses using the method of one day for one year, therefore, since I was born at 16 degrees, I was ‘Sagittarius’ for the remaining 14 years (16+ 14 = 30) become a ‘Capricorn’ at age 14 and remain a ‘Capricorn’ until age 44. (14 +30 degrees = 44 years) Then, at age 44, he became an ‘aquarian’ and will remain an ‘aquarian’ until he is 74 years old.
