2) Find out what type of batteries the system requires and how often they will need to be changed. Do your research ahead of time here. Manufacturers will indicate the battery life of the electronic system. Again, there’s a big difference in the battery life you’ll get from each system and this can make a big difference in value. Also, some systems require 6-volt batteries which are harder to find than the 9-volt batteries used by other systems.
3) Warranty. There are also wide variations in warranty terms for invisible pet fence systems. Compare the selling price and warranty length of the system you are considering with other leading brands. Make sure the warranty offers a good value for durability. It’s also a good idea to read consumer reports that talk about the durability of pet fencing.
